One such site I find fascinating is Nalanda Ancient University, discovered through books and videos. Regarded as the first international university, it was established in the 5th century AD and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Nalanda, located in the Nalanda district, flourished during the Gupta Empire in the 5th and 6th centuries, boasting around 2000 teachers and 10,000 students. Unfortunately, in the 12th century, invader Khilji demolished the monastery, killing monks and burning the valuable library that held approximately 9 million books, taking three months to destroy.
Certainly, I am eager to delve deeper into Nalanda's stories and secrets, learning more about its historical significance and the impact it had on the global academic
