  • When did you learn it
  • How did you learn it
  • Why did you think it was important to learn it
  • How you felt when you learnt it

In our life, we get so many opportunities when we learn numerous things regarding distinct fields.

I am not exceptional in this case, I also learned various skills in my life.

Here I would like to describe one of them.

Since my childhood, I have keen a interest to learn driving.

Often, I asked my father about learning to drive.

But the legal age for driving is 18, so when I turned 18.

I started to take driving classes at the driving school which is nearby my house.

At first, everything was difficult for me but with the encouragement of my parents

and the proper guidance of my instructor and , I learned the basics within one week.

My instructor guided me very well, he taught me all the basic rules of driving as well as traffic

After taking classes for two months, I felt enough confident to drive a car without any help.

I got extremely happy. In between, I also applied for a driving licence which I think is of utmost importance.

Apart from it, I feel that driving is an essential skill which everyone must be known because one does not need to depend on others.

Now, I can drive a car very easily and I also got compliments from my friends and my family members for driving.

So this is the skill which I learned outside of my school and gained a new experience.

 Second sample

Well, being a skilful person is the greatest thing and one must have to be perfect in particular skill besides from studies.

During my school or college time, I learned numerous things that are still fruitful for me.

But here I would like to describe the thing that I learned from my grandmother.

Since my childhood, I have been curious to learn something different so the lockdown period was the best to implement my plans.

My grandmother used to make handicrafts, knitting and decorative items which give a unique and elegant look to our home.

I always wanted to learn about this, so I started to follow my grandmother.

At first, my grandmother taught me the importance of handicrafts as it promotes the heritage of a country through the use of indigenous materials.

It preserves traditional knowledge and talents which are gifted every day.

Knitting is one of the methods by which yarn is manipulated to create a textile or fabric. It is used to create many types of garments. Knitting may be done by hand or by machine.

I understood all the concepts of knitting, I practised daily by hand and within a month, I became perfect in it.

I also knitted my family's clothes.

Then, I came to know about the floral design which my grandmother used to decorate our home.

It is the art of using plant materials and flowers to create an eye-catching composition.

I did all this with determination and after lockdown, there was the wedding anniversary of my cousin.

At that time, I did awesome decoration, and everyone praised me and gave positive compliments.

Now, I am enough confident about knitting and floral decoration.

It was a new and different experience for me but I faced a lot of difficulties to learn it.

But with the good guidance of my grandmother, I achieved my goal.

So this was the thing which I learned.

  1. correction: from my childhood - not since my childhood,
I have a keen interest - not I have keen interest.
This response cannot give more than a band 6 or 6.5 since the ideas is not logically organised and lacks cohesion. Besides, the idea is not much developed and only general things are shared.
