1. India is a diverse country due to its geographical regions, there are numerous places to visit. 
2. I am also fond of traveling. 
3. Usually, I make plans to go to different places with my friends or family members. 
4. Sometimes, my journeys got delayed due to various reasons, but here I want to share one such experience when my journey delayed due to bad weather. 
5. Actually, last month we all family members planned to go to Shimla which is a famous hill station. 
6. It is a renowned place among tourists. 
7. Many foreigners also visit this place. 
8. I was so excited about going there. 
9. My mother packed the luggage and we were ready to go, suddenly my friend called me who lives in Shimla. He told me that a severe thunderstorm and hailstorm, accompanied by heavy rain, bring normal life to a halt. The storm disrupted the power supply and traffic was badly hit as vehicles skidded on the hail-covered roads. 
10. Rainwater flooded the main roads and entered some buildings in the state capital. 
11. After hearing this news, we canceled our plan. 
12. We were very disheartened.  
13. We actually made very detailed plans about that journey including booking the train tickets, hotel rooms, selecting the scenic spots and choosing appropriate recreational activities. 
14. We postponed our plan.
15. We also got refunds from the travel agency from where we booked tickets and hotel rooms.
16. However, we managed to get there in August, which was a great experience for all of us
